Sharjah is all set to host a vibrant series of celebrations for the UAE's 53rd National Day, offering residents and visitors a delightful mix of festivities and cultural experiences.
The Sharjah Union Day Celebrations Committee recently announced that the celebrations will span from November 21 to December 2, featuring events across the emirate’s iconic cultural and tourist landmarks.
The festivities in Mleiha will kick off at the Heritage Village with a national march, theatrical performances, and cultural showcases. Visitors can explore a heritage area with a Bedouin tent, enjoy free exhibition spaces for local families, and discover services presented by government institutions. Children will love the free play area, making it a perfect family outing.
Al Madam will host a day packed with cultural activities, including heritage performances, poetry sessions, children’s events, and dazzling fireworks in the evening.
Khorfakkan Amphitheatre’s outdoor plaza will feature art workshops, school performances, poetry recitals, and a lively military band show. Visitors can also enjoy musical folk performances, competitions, and children’s activities, creating a memorable festive atmosphere.
Starting at 4:00 PM, Dibba Al Hisn will host a public march, followed by folklore shows. The evening will highlight a national operetta, poetry recitals, and cultural performances.
A day of traditional and creative celebrations awaits in Wadi Al Helo, featuring folk performances, poetry, and an awards ceremony.
A march from the Grand Mosque to Al Dhaid Fort will kick off the celebrations. The following days will include vibrant folklore performances, offering rich cultural experiences for all attendees.
At Al Hamriyah Beach Park, visitors can join a national march under the theme "A Nation’s Journey" and enjoy folk songs, interactive children’s workshops, and entertainment for senior citizens. Events continue the next day with poetry readings, cultural segments, and sports competitions, ensuring something for everyone.
Al Bataeh’s events will spotlight heritage and national pride with horse parades, classic car displays, folklore performances, and interactive art. Families can explore children’s entertainment in local parks while enjoying the vibrant Union Bus tours distributing flags and gifts.
In a heartwarming gesture, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre will host a charity musical event, with proceeds supporting "The Big Heart Foundation," aiding children and vulnerable families worldwide. The venue will also host discussions, robotics exhibits, and cultural platforms for youth and seniors, making it an inclusive celebration.
